Avoid parking here at all costs. We were about 10 minutes over our time and they ticketed us an unbelieveable £60. Place is nice but the parking situation is impossible and we won't visit again.

Visited with my grown up son and husband for lunch and a walk. I was surprised at how reasonable entry was to the grounds and we had a lovely couple of hours enjoying the outside spaces and deer park. I'd particularly recommend the tropical house and giant redwood area. If you have young children, there seems to be a great playground area too.
We visited both cafes on the site (our morning drink was excellent coffee, and later our lunch was good at the Tearoom) and we found parking really easy and reasonably priced. I'd read negative reviews when looking into the visit and weighing up if it was a good place to meet, and I'm not sure what more the venue could do. Parking is clearly signed, there are many options considering it's a small village and prices are not excessive. In fact, if you're only visiting the cafe, you can redeem £1 of your ticket.
Staff were friendly and helpful, the deer were obliging and posed for a photo and the gardens were interesting. Would recommend.

Lovely grounds with waterfalls and a huge lake to walk around.
Roaming deer, snowdrops and daffodils along with the hothouse brimming with unusual plants were fab!
£5 entry was good value. We bought our tickets on line so paid an extra £1 but at this time of year (February half term) it was necessary.
The castle itself wasn't open to the public but was lovely to look at from the outside.
A little tearoom completed our day with a Yorkshire tea costing only £2:30 for a pot containing 2 cups!
A little gift shop sold a variety of handmade items.
Well worth a visit!

Great place for a morning or afternoon out. Lovely views. Lake with waterfalls, deer park walk, hothouses with amazing plants. All very well looked after. Castle was closed on our visit.

We visited the garden and grounds of Ripley Castle for Valentine's Day because my wife loves it there. It was my first time. We had a lovely time walking all around the lake and seeing the deer. We also visited the gardens and hot houses which were interesting. We finished with a light lunch in the cafe. It is a nice environment to eat in, the food was lovely but a bit pricey. All the staff on site were very friendly and helpful, particularly the guy in the coffee house. Overall, great value for money, great way to spend a few hours, lovely views and easy parking which was not expensive. We would recommend it.

Wonderful place to visit, particularly the gardens in winter as it’s really quiet. And the glasshouses are warm inside. I spent an hour in them, but I am a gardener!

One of my favourite places for a flat white that actually tastes of coffee and such a good flavour. Love their chocolate chip cookies too as they are a nice texture and not overly sweet and sugary.
